“Magic”
On Monday, in the late afternoon sunshine, under the cherry tree, and in knee high grass, my beautiful Stallion, Magic, left us.
We had fought the good fight against kidney failure, but the time had come. One last strut down the aisle, one last kiss on his speckled nose.
Looking back at the wonderful journey he and I took together, I still find it hard to believe how lucky I was. It was so much more than the little horse crazy girl could ever had dreamed of.
I buried Magic next to the cherry tree. He can watch over his girls, the arena, and pastures from there. Best of all I can say good night to him on my way to the house.
